Pre-preparation:

Heat 200ml oil and fry 200g of sliced onion until golden brown.  In a vessel, put 500g cleaned chicken or mutton, 2 tbsp ginger galic pasta, 2 tbsp curd, 3 slit green chillies, 3 tbsp of Aachi Hyderabadi Dum Biryani Masala, fried onion, required salt, 1/4 cup of chopped mint and coriander leaves.  Mix well and marinate for 1-2 hours.  Seperately in a vessel , add 500g of basmati rice and boil until 3/4th done.

Preparation:

heat 3 TBSP of oil and add the marinated chicken or mutton and sauté for 5-10 minutes. In a thick bottom vessel layer, the marinated chicken and rice alternatively. Pour the remaining oil and 50ml of ghee over it.  Top it with chopped corinander and mint leaves.  (optional: soak a piece of Saffron in 2 Tbsp of milk and spread all over the mixture).  Cover the vessel tightly so that steam does not come out.  Cook on High heat, for 5 minutes, then place tava or pan beneath the vessel and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes. Tasty Aachi Hyderabadi Dum Biryani is ready to serve.
