Dill Seed Oil

Dill seed essential oil has a beautiful herbal, fresh and earthy aroma and many health benefits when used internally, externally and aromatically.

It has a long history of use amongst warriors and soldiers who used it to treat their wounds and reduce stress and anxiety during battle. We now know that its beneficial properties may be a result of a compound called carvone, which has anti-oxidant, anti-spasmodic, disinfectant and sedative effects.

It can be taken internally to help with digestive symptoms, and when used externally it may treat cramps, skin infections and lice. Dill oil can also be added to your cooking to bring out the flavour of the meal.

When this oil is used aromatically it can calm the nervous system, boost mood and stimulate the production of saliva.

Directions for use

Take dill oil internally by adding 1 drop to a glass of water, or adding 1-2 drops to food.

Enjoy the wonderful aromatic benefits of this oil by adding 2-3 drops to an oil diffuser, or adding 3 drops to a warm bath. Dill oil compliments citrus essential oils like lemon, orange and bergamot.

For external use, add 2-3 drops to a carrier oil and massage into the skin, muscles or scalp.
